Good news! Asia's largest crude oil onshore terminal has exported more than 150 million tonnes of crude oil.
Recently, it was learned from the CNOOC Tianjin Branch that the Suizhong 36-1 Crude Oil Onshore Terminal Plant, which has the largest crude oil processing and transportation capacity in Asia, has exported more than 160 million tonnes of crude oil since it was put into operation 23 years ago. It has made important contributions to the economic development of the Bohai Sea region.
The Suizhong 36-1 crude oil terminal covers an area of approximately 650,000 square metres and is a comprehensive onshore facility that combines crude oil processing, storage, and export capabilities. Since its commissioning in 2000, the terminal has undergone five expansion projects to accommodate and process crude oil from offshore platforms in the Bohai and Liaodong Bay areas. Notably, it handles crude oil production from several prominent oilfields, including China's largest self-operated oilfield, Suizhong 36-1, the first large-scale heavy oil thermal recovery oilfield, Luda 21-2, and Asia's largest offshore oil and gas field, Jinzhou 25-1 South.
Moreover, the terminal actively contributes to China's "dual carbon" goals, undertaking efforts to control air pollution by reducing annual emissions of volatile organic compounds by 400 tonnes.
This achievement marks a significant milestone in the region's energy infrastructure and demonstrates China's commitment to sustainable energy development.
